Have you ever read a poker book which enabled you to beat that particular game instantly after having read it?
I think colin book on s+g comes closest to that for me, david sklansky limit books are supposed to be written along those lines but I havnt read them. The brunson chapter on NL in SS didnt make me an instant winner although it was interesting and well written.
no poker book can make someone an instant winner – its not that simple –
there are a few people that do have such poker sense and talent that they pick up on things quicker than others and can just do well without much practice but the majority of poker players become winners through alot of practice and study and review of their play and other peoples play
winning is a process – not an event
