Is residential gambling illegal in North Alabama?
I have a neighbor that a gambling party poker every Thursday and is valid for 6 to 8 hours. They bring their own beer and chips. I know this because I have it as they see it coming in. It has been the last 6 months. Can anything be done about it?
What exactly are you against it? Seriously, lady. If you really are, personally "affected by this" gambling poker party then call the police for what bothers you. Are they music too loud? If they throw garbage on the street? If they steal from the car to get their buy-ins paid? If they demolish your house? If they harass your children? OR ….. is it just that you have a stick in the butt of someone gambling? Seriously, now. I can be a little bit evil about my approach was, but I raise a valid question. Is it just because your religion tells you this is somehow bad? Maybe they use this game to make and enjoy each others company. Are you SURE something terrible happened here ????? Again – difficult – if they really do something that disturbs the neighborhood (as too much noise or throw garbage on the street), then you have a legitimate complaint, and I totally agree with you. Either first talking to your neighbors, or call the police if you have already spoken with your neighbors. But if this is just a case of "I think poker and drinking are evil," then have to You really think your attitude toward one's neighbors. Why should people make their value tied. What if it suddenly became a law on the books must accept, said what everyone else thinks? You would not feel very good about it. Your neighbor could very well respect your views and think that you believe have the right to believe what you as long as you do not disturb others. You should to do the same for someone else.
