Making Choices The Harder
Choices … One of the things that distinguishes us as human beings is the fact that we are in a position to make decisions. Have You ever notice when you make it hard to … Finally, there is a big payout? As in poker, the more risk you take, the higher the payout? Well, I'll tell you to start all games of chance, so put down the poker chips. I'm talking about life decisions.
Take me for example, I was go with a colleague today's meeting and the discussion of the fact that I could easily six figures and with my training, experience and references. What a relief, that would not have to worry about money! But it would really be a relief? Or I would be really unhappy and I feel like my soul to the devil sold in order to earn more money? Five years ago I made the difficult choice to start my own business, so I could my family comes first. I was just about to to give birth to my second son, and I was not with my relationship (or lack thereof) happy with my first son. I was scared to death of the unknown. I no idea what I was getting myself into. However, I had to follow my heart. I knew the direction I wanted was not the right way. Yes, technically, it was easier. It was a good job that the payment was safe and familiar. But my heart was not there and my family suffered. I had to make the choice harder. I am so glad that I have. I have now have three boys, I have wonderful relationships. I have the freedom to school events throughout the day to go and help in the classrooms. I have the choice harder to the family first and money second. They trust me, there are times that I torment about them. I wonder if the stress and financial uncertainty, it is worth, but in the End it is.
Making more choices that my family is the first key. How do I do that? · Shopping at Wal-Mart and Costco instead of Nordstrom and Bel Air · driving a Toyota instead of a Lexus · to Lake Tahoe Going on vacation instead of Hawaii · Repair my shoes, take some time to buy instead of new, really sit down and think about what options you have to do. Are they from your heart or are you on auto-pilot? Start eighth, you can be amazed at what you discover. Start asking yourself the following questions: • What you really want from life? • What decisions can you make that a huge impact on your life and you will in the direction that you really need to start to go? • What is holding you back? • What are you afraid? Where can the harder choice? You will be amazed what the payment could end up being.
