Piercings and Tats: I Have to go overboard?
I am a 16 year old girl, the school attended a private, Catholic. Basically everything is as immodest. I have 7 piercings: 3 in each ear and belly. I also have a tattoo on my right hip, a little smaller than a standard poker chips (for Canadians about the size of the Toonie). Is this trashy? Did I go overboard? Is it still sexy or is it rough? I am thinking to let four of my piercings in my ear and left me with just my normal ones and my belly ring. So on an average day would show only my normal earrings. Should I through with this plan? What is your opinion?
I do not really have a problem with tattoos or piercings although I'm not me. I see them as just another way people express themselves. But for some people these things can be a big deal. It sounds like you are under pressure, because the environment you are in. But do not worry – the world does not like a small, Catholic school. I am sure you will find the people value you for, not what you look like … elsewhere. In addition, sound not your piercings that drastic! Many people I know many piercings in their ears. And most of my friends have navel piercings. The tattoo is so small and out of place, I doubt that it is very shocking. Really, the people that you think you are trashy must be very narrow-minded. Also – some people like a big deal out of something like that, because they thrive on drama. My advice Stay away (from them).
