How to buy a poker chip set?

I play Hold'em with about 7 other chips and would like a set of high quality. What should I look for in Terms of weight, number of chips etc? Thanks

If you only play with 3 or 4 denominations, 50 chips per player works just fine. But if you like the look of many colors and denominations you may want 75 or so chips per player. For 7 players, a 500 or 600 chipset will be a lot. The rates may also stretched players , ten to accommodate. Weight is not that important considering that really cheap chip 8 grams or less, premium sound chips weigh 9 or 10 grams and mid-range chips 11-14 grams can weigh weigh. The most important thing about poker chips is not the weight, but the quality. The two types of chips I would recommend are the Dunes commemorative chips that's be in the middle of Paulson chips that sell for around 30 cents per chip, or What are the industry standard for premium chip and sell for around $ 1.15 per Chip. The dunes are beautiful chip feel, but with a plasticky. The Paulson are real clay chips and what are the pros use. If these are expensive also try surfing eBay or Google for poker chip sets. There are a lot of lower quality and less expensive, though still beautiful chip-sets.
