Is Statistical Tournament Poker Gambling?
I am a poker player, not a professional by any means, but not bad player either. This last month A new poker room opened in Portland, Oregon, that I my interest. I had seen a lot of poker tournaments in bars around Portland, but they have not upon me a few reasons …
1. They were in a bar, which meant a smoky environment, and I'm not a fan of cigarette smoke.
2. The nights of varied play often it was like every Tuesday night, but not every night if I wanted to vary my nights the game I had to go to different places.
3. There was no guarantee I could play when I travel to the bar and the seats were taken at the tables already given, I was SOL, I made the trip for no reason, or I had to 2 hours wait for the next game to start, perhaps all the award.
4. There was an expectation of the establishment, and I agree with this if it is a Poker game, which they expect should the participants for food, drink and buy what else host. But extra bar food is not always in my budget.
5. Since the game was generally free was crowded and the seats of regular guests who have not taken the device normally used, they even had the audacity to bring food or drink from a different location in the facility where the game was played.
So, needless to say, I did not play tournaments in the bar much. The steps in this new poker room National Poker Challenge, opening a new location here in Portland in Cedar Hills. I had to check it out and I was pleasantly surprised. They had all the problems I had spoken with cash tournaments.

3. You have online registration available or you can call the room for a seat, when the game is full of it I can tell you the likelihood of you always been a seat of a deputy and if they do not have enough players for a game that they call you and tell you so. They practice an in-your-seat policy, is the time to start the game, if one is not in-your-seat, or at least called and told them that you are on the way to your seat to an alternate given.
4. and 5 Because the location to the game and not a bar or restaurant itself is devoted, there is no expectation to buy anything from the device, because Poker is his business.
Their business model is similar to the bar to play tournaments in which you play not for money but for points and statistical analysis Their play.
