I have a few questions about poker rules and etiquette. Q1) Does 5 of a kind beat royal flush? I'm pretty sure it works, but I was in a game to play the other night and the other said there that there is a lower Straight flush, but does not beat a Royal Flush. Luckily, my 5 9's were only for a lower straight flush. Q2) I played a high low game where the rules explained that you have a flush or better required to win high. Someone walked up in front of me, and I had a hand well enough to go high or low but not high and was low. I had an 8 high flush, so I thought that the man had probably go up to beat me. I went low, and the guy says "Woops, I only have one right now. "So the guy who took low won the whole pot. I'd still high when I so gone, and I would continue in this way would be if this guy not gone, have in large have errors. I should have had any recourse? The guy should have been somehow disadvantaged? What do you do in your game?
5 of a Type, with wild cards, of course beats a royal. This is the door that you open when playing with wild cards or jokers. Straight Poker has no 5 of a kind. Your secund Question sounds like a 'luck of the draw "bad luck. You win and you lose everything.
