I have a really intermittent signal strength on my wireless connection. How can it more stable.?
It goes from knocking me off-line to 100% and I can do not see why. Sometimes the microwave does not help, but the antenna and receiver are only about 10m apart by a bottom and nothing changes apart from the TV and or is in the microwave on. Would knock the TV signal? Probably not, as sometimes its perfect, when the TV is on. I have a Linksys router, a Motorola Modem (from Shaw) and I was a Mac, but even with the PC it tricky. I dare to play online poker for money, as I am always Exit row when sittng apart on a strong hand, but the fact that I really want to beat this thing stabilized. Any ideas how to fix it please? Failing that, what is it that the signal increase in and out so dramatically? It is not the phone, I have a 5 GB phone already, but I noticed when I took the laptop away from the phone, which is quite near the radio station that it improves a little. If there is only TooMuch noise in this small area with the phone and wireless station?
I had some bad Experiences with Linksys routers (actually 2 of 3 I met were not reliable compared to my very old, very cheap SOYO 802.11g). You could just a bad copy, made the connection by itself. Do you have other networks in the air? Try to change the channel on the router. Channels 1, 6 and 11 are not overlapping each other, I would try them.
