Can a straight flush contain royal cards in the hand of poker (plus other Texas hold em poker questions)?
I am making a simple game like poker Flash and need a few rules just to get into. Can a straight flush royal card included in the hand of poker? for example 7,8,9,10, J of spades compared to 3,4,5,6,7 the spade? Even if two players have a flush, 2,4,7, J, K of spades and 4,6,8, Q, K of diamonds, which one has the better hand? I know that probably the second win listed, but am not sure how exactly it works. I have read this gain is determined by sequence. To me it seems like the higher the "total" value of the cards would win. Any thoughts on this? Let us say that no one had a useful and high card hand wins the round. If two players had an ace, they would they split the pot? If the player then resort to a secondary high card in his hand instead? I know that there are a lot of variations of poker. I am more concerned interested in the rules used in the series Texas hold em world than television. Thanks for your help in advance!
