Movie Magic for Poker Players
One of my earliest memories of a poker game is from the 1965 film The Cincinnati Kid. The film follows a young poker player (played Steve McQueen) as he pits himself against the top poker players of that time. The film (considered by many to be one of the greatest poker movies ever) gave rise to my lifelong interest in the game. More recently, I was pleased that Matt Damon movie Rounders Clock.
Perhaps what I love most is the poker movies engraved sarcastic Dialogues to bluff around, calculated as the rest of those who win, and excitement, what could be the next card. In these films, it is the man (or woman) with the greater intelligence that wins the game.
Poker movies provide entertainment. However, not is my primary reason for watching. Unable a good poker game at times resist, I want to stay on top of the various tips that my poker friends with. And believe me, for those of us that Play poker only occasionally, most of our tricks come from the movies.
A poker trick that we learn from the movies is that of reading the looks on the faces the other players. Eyes that are depressed or a happy glint in them are safe, promotional gifts, what types of cards that has drawn a person. Of course, the unfortunate fellow would look at you, and maybe bring all of his theatrical talents to the poker table. Be careful. Do not give away your own cards from your Facial expression or body language. And do not be deceived by someone else.
More importantly, not to give in an emotional outburst. In a good poker game, the pressure build. But you have to concentrate on the game to win. Feelings will only give your opponents the upper hand. Do not lose control of the game. Avoid You drink yourself silly during a poker game, if you're not in the mood to let other people win. A person who is drunk during a game is only preparing to drown in losses.
Also, the ego should be kept aside during a game. The cocky upstart often undermines his own grave all thanks to the desire to advance one step. It is advisable to hold on to your best hands sometimes. Let others have their season in the sun. Wait to the most appropriate moment. Strike at the right time and you will rake moolah in all!
