Poker hands are in first place, by category then by individual card ranks. Even the lowest hand, that in a given category qualify defeats all hands in all lower categories. A flush is five cards of the same color. One example is the hand of Ace-Queen-Ten-Nine-Eight Clubs. If two flushes have exactly the same cards, like AJ976 of spades versus AJ976 of hearts, this is a tie and a pot would be split.
A straight consists of five consecutive cards of different suits. The three of a kind Three cards of same rank with two unpaired cards. It follows that the three a Species with the highest rank wins the game. Two pair is two cards of one rank, two cards of another rank and a kicker with a third place. A pair consists of two Cards of same rank and three unrelated cards. A pair of none, is a high card poker hand with no pair or any of the other ranking values above.
