Slow Playing the way to the poorhouse in Texas Holdem

I bet you did not know that this technique is probably one of the misused and abused of all strategies.

If done correctly, we define slow motion as follows: Betting The art of display weakness with a passive style to drop or deceive to get your opponent pay a larger one. It often turns out to be the art of display weakness bets with a passive style to promote marginal hands to stick around outdraw you, so you lose the hand.

Lets get started with you treated on the button and you get Pocket Rockets.

A few players limp in and you decide Call-SLOW PLAY IT!. This is a big mistake. First of all, to raise from the button is a fairly normal game and is commonly referred to as a position raise.

Most people who know everything about the game, in the mountains, because the button raised head. In fact, there are more bluff from the button than any other position.

This means that you do not necessarily give up information, especially from that position. The second error is that the Big Blind in free and allow the Small Blind in half a bet.

Seats and the $ 100/200 limit game and note how long you sit there before you see an instance where the Big Blind Play free.

I do it to Foxwoods twice a month. If geographically possible, I recommend you do the same. The 4 / 8 and 5 / 10 limit games are fairly soft and so far are very beatable.

This is what happened my last visit in Connecticut. I had won only two decent hands in a row (always nice) and am now in the Big Blind. I get real junk, 6 / 8 treated inappropriate. To my surprise, everyone is lagging and I'm going to see a flop. Now comes the flop 10c, 8c, 8s. I thought flopped a set. I do not have anyone on a great pair, no matter aces. I'm sure you can understand that I have no business being in this hand. However, I am 99% sure I'm at the top.

The irony is that I now play my slow trip 8's and check. The player to my left and betting, there are three callers including me. This in turn creates a miracle 6c. I have a full house and pray that someone hit the club flush as long as he is not owned by 79c.

I bet the eight and the player to my left makes it 16, the button presses it to 24, I have it capped at 32, the two lifters have and we a very nice cup to produce. The river is formed from a sheet and I lead, and all calls, I win a nice pot. The player to my left had with AQC and The button limped limped with AA.

What happened here happened quite a lot. The AQC player should have raised in early position tried so many from the Pot as possible. AQs are nice cards but has problems, especially in an early seat. The button AA should have also asked how often raises the key position as a result discussed earlier.

The point is that both players did everything possible to throw away the hand. The funny thing is that the slow player (s) slowplayed got.

If I AQ, especially in early position are treated, I come from flies. They do this because you play this hand heads-up, or better yet to win it right there want. For whatever reason these players assigned greater importance to AQ, as he should have.

AA consistently over estimated and as a result is played incorrectly. I'm always fascinated by people's reactions when their aces get cracked. It is as if they had lost track of the fact that it to get another 5 cards. Not to forget that the same five cards are shared by the opposition.

When people play stud or draw, there is nowhere in the vicinity of disappointment if not keep their aces.

Always try on the fact that 71.4% of the cards are focused community cards. To the obvious, the button should have raised his balls and just felt like if the third ace on the flop is produced.

He had two problems that this flop, the Paired board and offered the clubs the potential flush draw for someone. The value of his aces took a big hit, and he was whistling clear to the postponement of its Raise evidence on the turn, so that there are three missions. If the third club came on the turn, and he stood before an increase in early position, it should have turned off an alarm that his aces were sent to beat.

If I do not play heads up or am with two other players I never slow the early betting rounds with AA or KK. It makes no sense to leave the BB in free with rags for the launch outdrawing you.

Effective slow motion after the flop and to a greater extent at the turn when high% of it knowing that you not only have the best hand, but that any improvement is on the opposition, not your beat up. When your opponent hits on his hand a dead draw is the best result for you get paid. Try it this way. Your profit / loss ratio will increase considerably!
