High School want a poker club. any pedagogical points?
I like to play blackjack and Texas Hold'em and Iwanted to try and see if I could make poker a club at our school. As you all know (I live in WA) it is illegal to play with money, if you are under 18 years. but you can still no luck poker game when you money and are under the age of 18. I talked to my activities director and he said I would need a proposal on a to create make poker club. Does anyone have any ideas I can put in the proposal that education helps or something positive / Life Skills? .. like .. "Learning how to Play Texas Hold'em increase your knowledge to know, percentages and probability, and social competencies as "bluffing" and "straight faces ""… someone can give me some other things?
I'm not sure if you can check "bluff" a social skill, but there are a lot of mathematics, Probability theory, risk / return things that you mention.
