What are the advantages / disadvantages of video blackjack?
I was in a casino this weekend and was wondering this: What are the main differences between Playing video blackjack and play at a table, besides the obvious (ie, minimum buy-ins) Are there any major advantages or disadvantages for Video Poker, that I should know, before I go to Vegas for three weeks?
The odds on video blackjack machines are significantly worse than live blackjack. Most allow only to double to 10 and 11, and some did not. The most you can only split once, and others you can not split at all. The greatest opportunities Killer on them is that most only have to pay money for a blackjack instead of 3 to 2 And it's just not as much fun as live blackjack. The biggest advantage is of course that you play a lot cheaper. Most are quarter or dollar machines, but I've seen in nickel more than one occasion, and have actually seen a Cent machine.
